Reading List // Reasons To Stay Alive – Matt Haig

After having a bit of a tough time recently I stumbled upon Matt Haig’s book, and read it in 2 days.

It’s not long but it doesn’t need to be, it perfectly describes how it feels to not be in control of your own emotional well being, or have any view to life ever getting any better.
Matt’s brutally honest writing, starting with the day he was going to kill himself, is very raw and hard to read. He goes through the symptoms of depression, which sometimes felt like a very recognisable list, and also what he has found helps bring him out of the troughs, which again I found familiarity in a few of them.

I found Matt’s story remarkably honest and very reassuring, as amongst other things it reminds you are not alone.
Everyone should read this book.
