The Art of the Brick DC Super Heroes Exhibition, London

Back in March I went to The Art of the Brick DC Super Heroes Exhibition in London. This is the largest collection of super hero lego artwork, using nearly 2,000,000 bricks, and covering all the favourites – from Superman to Harley Quinn.

All the work of artist Nathan Sawaya, each piece had a little info plaque stating how many bricks were used to create it, and it became quite the game to try and guess the correct amount before looking each time.

The most staggering piece was the life-sized Batmobile at the end, created with nearly half a million bricks. I had lots of favourite pieces, especially the comic book cover recreations, but the Batman pieces blew my mind, especially creating a working Bat sign.

Definitely worth attending if your are a fan of Superheroes or Lego, it’s hard to get your head around how creative you can be when you start with a pile of bricks.

On until September aotbdc.co.uk, check out a few of my photos below, rest of the photos on Flickr.
